T'ej (pronounced Tedj) is a recreation of an Ethiopian Honey Wine. This drink has been made for centuries in Ethiopia and is still very popular today. It is usually made at home by women and is served at many holiday occasions.
Our T'ej is brewed with pure Ethiopian Honey and uses ground Gesho Tree as the bittering component.
It has a dry, wine-like character with hints of licorice and star anise.
