Steeped in lore (and extra hops), the English IPA is a stronger version of a classic pale ale. Hoppy Potter is characterized by an earthy and floral English-style hop character, as opposed to the citrus and grapefruit of West Coast IPAs. True English yeast lends a fruity flavor and aroma also not found in its American counterpart. Hoppy Potter was brewed using English Marris Otter malt and East Kent Golding hops to strike a balance between malt and hops for a more rounded flavor. It was dry-hopped with Ahtanum for a spice like floral finish.
