Made in the American tradition of pale ales, Lakefire boasts a well balanced hop profile followed by a slightly sweet malt character that perfectly supports the spiciness of malted rye. The use of rye is this beer serves to dry the finish and lends a crisp mouthfeel. Because of that dry finish, the hop character is primarily upfront. Flavorful and citrusy with the pale ale hop aroma you’d expect, but with a slight breadiness from the rye, the finish is just as big on malt profile as it is on hops. Its partly what makes this pale ale very unique.
