Monk on the Beach, Belgian-Style Quad; Inspired by the Trappist monks of Belgium. Aged in oak barrels. 9% ABV, 40 IBU
Appearance: mahogany, lacy white head
Flavor: Candy sugar sweetness, pear, nutty, hints of banana and clove spice, dates “fig newton”.
Mouthfeel: velvety, substantial but not cloying, smooth finish.
Overall Impression: Sweet at first but finishes fairly dry. Very drinkable for its size with no heat.
