Enjoying life’s good gifts is the cadence that turns the wheel of Reformation Brewery. In a world churning with appointments, responsibilities, deadlines, and traffic jams, life is increasingly hurried. Stress can easily shove away the presence of the now.

Cadence is a beer created to acknowledge that indeed there is a rhythm to life and that every day deserves a moment to give thanks and to enjoy the good gifts of life. Cadence anchors Reformation Brewery’s line and, as the song written for this beer proclaims, there is indeed “fullness in the belly of time’s hunger” if we just pause, “cup hands, kneel, and drink” to “taste and see, it is good.”

We have also crafted fig into Cadence. Why fig? Well, it certainly combines well with the malt to produce a deep fruit aroma and caramel flavor. But in addition to that, fig trees are survivors. Its roots dig even through crevices and rocks to find water in the valleys of their natural habitat. It’s an ancient tree, providing shade in times of intense heat. So figs are not only delicious in beer, they have sheltered life’s cadence as long as history.

Abundant in malt with mild hop bitterness, medium body with gentle carbonation at 6.9% ABV. Best served at 45-50F.

Food Pairing: Give thanks with any good stinky cheese, nachos, premium cheeseburger, pizza, or chocolate.

Awards: Won blue ribbon in its category at Peach State Brew-Off when it was a home brew.

Grains/Adjuncts: Belgian Candi Sugar, Fig
