Aumoe Black Rye IPA has the aroma and hoppy bitterness of an IPA, and, though black in color, it has just a hint of roasty flavor and aroma. This allows the aromatics of the hops and the spicy notes of the rye malt to come through. This beer showcases Zoso hops grown by Misty Mountain Hop Farm in Olathe, CO. A relative of centennial, they share a lot of the same piney characteristics, but with a little more fruit on the nose.
