Beaver Island - Union Suit - Barrel Aged

Every barrel has a unique story that begins in forest and ends in a glass. The story of the barrels that held this batch of Union Suit begins at the Jim Beam Distillery. Once they had aged their Kentucky whiskey they headed North to Minnesota where they held craft Maple syrup. They were then filled with Sugar Bush Whiskey by Duluth's Vikre Distillery. We picked them up the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 2015 and filled them with our beloved Union Suit, and on that day Barrel Aged Union suit was born. After a year, the beer was aged to perfection and kegged. Hints of bourbon, vanilla and espresso permeate from the glass of this strong, divine brew.
