Beginning life as a standard double IPA, Hopster has been wholly transformed while aging on oak and undergoing a 9 month secondary fermentation with Brettanomyces!
Brettanomyces brings a ton of pineapple, tropical fruit, light sour notes as well as a very distinct funkiness to an already complex hoppy brew. Dry hopped just before bottling to reaffirm the hoppy aromas lost during aging. Hopster is so damn tasty we almost kept it for ourselves.
As with all hoppy beers- enjoy this beer fresh. Drink it soon- DO NOT AGE.
