Some things are so special that they only come around once each year. This is just that. Typically after harvest, hops are dried down so that they can be used throughout the year. When you grow them yourself, you can skip the drying process and use what is known as a wet hop in the brewing process. Wet hops provide more of a grassy flavor and aroma as compared to its dried counterpart. In addition to this, these hops were found growing wild on a dormant volcano! They add some interesting lemon flavors to this brew, which pairs amazingly with the lemon zest thrown in late in boil. This is a thick and heavy hitting Double IPA coming in at 8%, and dry hopped with nearly 17 pounds of hops! Enjoy it now, because it won’t be back until next year!
