Crossroads Brewing Company Barleywine

This Barleywine is a full bodied strong ale with a rich, robust, sweet malt flavor, a big dose of
Cascade hops, and a high alcohol content. We maxed out the amount of British Maris Otter Pale malt that we could fit in our mash tun to give this beer a sweet malt body with caramel and bready notes. Lots of Cascade, Simcoe and Centennial hops were added in the kettle and as a dry hop to help cut through the malt with firm bitterness,
citrus hop flavors, and a pleasant hop aroma.
The high alcohol content also adds a sweet
character to the beer and a warming sensation on the palate. Barleywine is a perfect sipping beer to get through the cold days of winter!
