The second entry in the Foundation Series is true to its centuries old Scottish heritage. It is medium-bodied, clear, copper in color, and topped with a creamy, off-white head. The flavor and aroma tip toward malt character, accented by faint smoky, peaty notes and hints of caramelized sugar, yet remain balanced through to the beer’s mildly dry finish by subtle hop bitterness.
