Baltic Porter6.0% ABV

RateBeer Score    88 Overall   92 Style

With clear notes of toffee and dark chocolate, this Porter is roasty and rich, offering a medium body that is robust, yet smooth on the palate. Toasted and chocolate malts give it a sinister black color, but its easy-to-drink taste will have you believing that there's no need to be afraid of the dark.

Food Pairing: Rich and roasty notes brings out the best of steak, lamb chops, game and roasts. Works great as a base for sauces and marinades. Perfect finish with chocolate and cigars.

This porter is based on malt flavors of roasted nuts, crème brulee, cocoa, and caramel, extracted from English and German roasted and caramel malts. Hotbox Roasters then crashes the party and infuses potent, cold-extracted coffee from Burundi and Ethiopian beans and deals out flavors and aromas of dark plums, chocolate, and hints of blueberry.
