Dick Smith Double IPA is of course named after the beautiful Dick Smith wilderness here within the Los Padres Forest. We kept the malt simple on this brew to allow South African experiemental varietal XJA2/436 to shine. The hop provides pungent notes of citrus, overly ripe cantaloupe, papaya, and Bergamot. Pine is also a definitive feature, working this hop seamlessly into classic West Coast style DIPAs.
