This traditional Altbier is clean, crisp, and flavorful with a dry finish. Copper-hued with a fresh bouquet of floral hops, this German-Style Amber ale undergoes an unusual fermentation method. It endures a long, cold conditioning phase, similar to that of traditional lager beer styles. Early German brewers used ale yeast, instead of lager yeast, at cold temperatures to achieve a clean and crisp beer without a lot of fruit character prior to conventional lager yeast.
