Red India Pale Lager7.5% ABV55 IBU
This Red X India Pale Lager has a huge floral lemon lime aroma thanks to the use of 7 different Southern Hemisphere hops. At first, flavors of apricot and passion fruit give way to a tropical spiciness reminiscent of black pepper, making this IPL incredibly unique. The beer has a beautiful deep crimson hue from the Red X malt. Brewing with lager yeast showcases the subtle sweetness of this innovative new malt.
We were excited to have Westlake’s first collaboration brew be with Five Threads Brewing Company. CEO and Brewer, Tim Kazules, has used this malt successfully in a fantastic Red IPA and served as the inspiration for this brew. With Fig being known for brewing award winning lagers we wanted to blend the two together. This is an over the top hybrid beer for hop heads, lager lovers, and craft enthusiasts to enjoy!
