Three foreigners arrived in Asheboro between July and November, 1886. They were British army officers retired from service in India who
came to Randolph County to manage the Hoover Hill Gold Mine. During their life here, they certainly made a name for themselves and are recognized to this day throughout Randolph and Guilford Counties for their big personalities and contributions to the local culture. We honor these gentlemen with our first India Pale Lager - a golden lager accentuated by big hop characteristics of Chinook, Citra, Palisade, and Simcoe hops. Here's to history never forgetting us!
