Pyment is the fruit mead style created when honey and grapes are brought together. The aroma blends clover and wildflower honey with red grapes leading with grape and honey. Caramel and light raspberry finish the aroma lending a ruby port character. Medium burgundy to garnet in appearance, when the light strikes it takes on a near jewel-like quality. Rich grapes blend with honey to create a harmonious flavor experience that, though sweet, finishes with caramel and a palate cleansing fruit tang. This mead is an excellent cool weather choice.
