Grapevine Stocking Stuffer

Brewed by Grapevine Craft Brewery

Winter Warmer9.0% ABV42 IBU

With the coming of the cooler winter months, it is comforting to turn to something to provide warmth from within. Around the Holidays, as we are gathering together with family and friends, stronger libations are a welcome comfort. Our Stocking Stuffer is brewed to reflect the richness of the season with hearty malts, piney hops, and a touch of earthy and citrusy spiciness. And did we mention more alcohol? This beer is made to compliment the fare of the holiday season, from roasted turkey to fruitcake. Christmas is a big deal in our hometown. In fact, Grapevine is the Christmas Capital of Texas. It’s true! So, consider this your official invitation to enjoy the season and drink it in.

Our winter warmer pours a beautiful deep red (amber) almost reminiscent of a barleywine. The body is not overly heavy, but we’ve used dextrins to ensure a nice rich and full-bodied mouthfeel. Both the aroma and the initial sip on the palate boasts the senses of the Christmas season with lots of spicy citrus without being overly intense and obnoxious. This beer is balanced and easy drinking. You’ll also notice quite a bit of hop character in this beer from the aroma to the finish. The use of Chinook hops really brings out the piney-ness of this beer and serves to enhance the elements of the winter season. Lastly, and perhaps most important to the style, you’ll certainly feel a warming sensation as you enjoy this fantastic ale.
