wenty years ago, Highland opened its doors in a town otherwise bereft of breweries. Our name anchors us here – “Highland” honors Asheville’s Scots Irish heritage. In a final salute to our 20th anniversary, we present the 20th beer in the series: our limited edition, 20th Anniversary Weizenbock.
Pause to take in the aromas of clove and banana. Wheat, barley, and chocolate rye create complex malt flavors, accented by a hint of spiciness. "Just a wee bit different," our rendition of this lesser-known style is approachable and beautifully suited to the season.
Heads up! Highland 20th Anniversary Weizenbock may not be available near you. Follow this beer to get notified when it's available nearby, try searching in a different area, or discover some similar beer.

A german style hefeweizen that combines traditional notes of clove and banana with subtle citrus aromas and flavors to provide balance and complexity. With this hefeweizen, there’s no fruit required — we’ve got that covered.

Brewed as a traditional Belgian style witbier, Optimal Wit is crisp and citrusy with layers of flavor that evolve in the glass. We brew this with Virginia grown wheat and use Spanish orange peels and coriander, which are traditional wit spices. Our unique twist is Grains of Paradise, which gives it a subtle peppery character on the finish.
