Iron Mule Ruffian Noir

One of the aspects of brewing is the ability to get as creative as you want, and we think we pushed our boundaries on what beer can be.
The Ruffian Noir. An Imperial Chocolate Black Cherry Sour Stout. Yep, we intentionally soured a stout!
After souring, we added black cherries just post high krausen. Once fermentation was complete, we aged with Cocoa Nibs.
The final product, is a beautiful melding of flavors, that as the beer warms, takes on a red wine character.
