A twisted American version of a Schwartzbier. Adding a good portion of rye malt, which brings a bit of ’grassiness’ to the beer and adds a level of complexity not usually found in this style. The aroma is both slightly chocolaty and a bit hoppy at the same time, while the finish is dry and a touch roasty, with the lingering spiciness of the rye.
