Neighborhood Baroque Butterfly

Baroque Butterfly Ale is our take on a late medieval brew from the lowlands of Northwestern Europe. This Keutebier is a slightly sour, mixed-grain ale that traces its history back to the 14th century. It was a very popular beer even in the mid-17th century as it was even praised by Pope Alexander VII. A great example of beer’s prominent role in history, our recreation of this transcendent ale features a unique easy-drinking quality with citrus notes balancing out the slightly sour finish.
