As farming gave way to industry in Belgium's Hainaut province, a new style of beer was born. Akin to Saison; Grisette was the drink of the working class; named for the grey color of the stone mined there and the pinafores worn by the female factory workers. Touch of Grey was brewed with a heavy had of malted and unmalted wheat and aged in neutral oak wine barrels. An enticing aroma reminiscent of white wine, grapefruit and melon, precedes a palate of peach, apricot and a light, bright, drying acidity and tannins. Quaffable yet elegant, Oakshire's Touch of Grey leaves each sip yearning for another.
