There will be a new malt house right here in Fort Collins and a native grain is being introduced into the brewing scene. The malt is a 2-row barley called Genie. We used this in our Stimulator Rye Pale Ale recipe to see what the outcome of flavor would be. From what we can tell, it's a great malt that could be a solid contender for our base.
