Prism Misdemeanors

Some times you don’t need the 10% ABV that a Felony IPA brings so we bring you Misdemeanor, Felony’s little brother. Currently an experimental IPA there are three versions; Misdemeanor of the 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. Each uses our low-lox base malt to enhance flavor stability and decrease oxygen pickup which in turn will reduce ‘staling’. For each degree we then modify the alcohol content and both they type as well as dosing methods for the hops. Our goal is to create a highly flavorful and more sessionable IPA without the hops bitterness punching you in the face.

Midemeneanor of the first comes in at 6.4% ABV and we used all Apollo hops. The high aroma hop usage resulted in a very vegital flavor; you could literally taste the hops.

Midemeneanor of the second comes in at 5.4% ABV. This time we used Apollo hops for bittering and flavor and bravo hops for aroma. This resulted in a less vegetal hop flavor while enhancing the hop aroma.

Midemeneanor of the third comes in at 4.5% ABV. We used Apollo hops only for bittering and then Bravo for flavor and aroma.
