Shannon Chocolate Stout

Brewed by Shannon Brewing Co.

Sweet Stout5.7% ABV31 IBU

Shannon Chocolate Stout is exactly what the name suggests—a rich, subtly sweet, lightly hopped ale — satisfying and perfectly balanced. Our milk stout is brewed to have a deeper, almost black hue that surprises the drinker with its wonderful chocolate aroma, a slightly sweet first taste and a complex rewarding finish. Our fire-brewed process delicately caramelizes the sugars in the dark wort and accentuates the malty flavors in the roasted barley and chocolate malts. The addition of raw cocoa nibs during fermentation impart subtle chocolaty aromas that make this stout a year-round treat.

Brewed in the authentic historical style of an Imperial Russian Stout, this beer is massive. Intensely aromatic (notes of anise, black currants, coffee, roastiness and alcohol) and heavy on the palate, this brew goes where few can - and fewer dare try.
