The new brother at the monastery, Singles are a relatively recent style that joined the Trappist line up of Dubbels, Tripels, and Quads as a response to the modern craft beer palate. This Trappist Single resembles our Magnum Trip Belgian Tripel in appearance but exhibits a more hop forward flavor and half the alcohol. The characteristic yeast provides floral esters while the Saaz hops add a little spice. With a pale color and lighter body, this is a perfect patio beer for all you Belgo-philes! Limited Release. OG 1051, IBU 32, ABV 5%

Food Pairing: Triple cream or blue veined cheeses, sausages, salads, fruit; pastas with white cream sauce, sushi, chicken, shellfish; Lemon angel cakes with lemon confit, lemon meringue pie.

Hops: Magnum, Saaz, Saaz

Grains/Adjuncts: Pilsen Malt

A sort of dry, crisp, refreshing, not quite pale ale, #9 is really impossible to describe because there's never been anything else quite like it.
