Common Gruit, a Stone's Throw and Lost Forty collaboration, is a gruit-inspired ale brewed with local Tulsi Holy Basil, malted oats, and a blend of Dunbar and Abbey ale yeast. The Tulsi was grown at Common Roots Cooperative in Little Rock, AR. The aroma of Common Gruit is characterized by complimentary sweet and spicy notes of licorice, lavender, rose, white pepper, and orange blossom. Flavors follow suit and are rounded out by the soft, light, and grainy flavor of oats. The finish is spritzy, dry, and refreshing with minimal Tulsi bitterness. Collaborative Release.
