Fruit forward dark cherry, dried strawberry, plum, blackberry, with violet, lavender, dried leaves and bright acidic finish. Barbera is a red Italian wine grape variety that, as of 2000, was the third most-planted red grape variety in Italy. Barbera is low in tannins and high in acidity, which makes it a must try for the white wine drinker exploring reds. Barbera pairs best with many Italian dishes as it holds up well to the acidic tomatoes. A natural go to wine with BBQ and most meats! One of the most food friendly wines out there.
