Ramona Ranch Montepulciano

Ramona Ranch Winery  ·  Ramona Valley, CA  ·  2013
Picked at 24 brix (sugar) and aged in neutral oak, this is a ruby colored wine with low acidity and mild, sweet tannins which make this perfect for guests who don’t like the heavier reds wines.

Ramona Ranch Sangiovese

Ramona Ranch Winery  ·  Ramona Valley, CA  ·  2013
These 100% Sangiovese grapes are the same Grosso Clone used in Italy’s Big Brunello di Montalcino’s, a special wine produced in the town of Montalcino south of Florence. We used a special yeast, BM45 isolated in Tuscany to ferment this wine, with twice daily punchdowns by hand, and careful rotation between new and neutral barrels, to add the finesse of oak aging. This is our flagship wine, and one that consistently brings home the Gold Medals; you have to taste our Sangiovese to believe the Red Wine comes from the Ramona Valley AVA, in the San Diego foothills.
