Coastal Empire Beer Co. won a Bronze Medal at the 2014 Great American Beer Festival in the Herb/Spiced Beeer category for Dawn Patrol Imperial Breakfast Stout. Dawn Patrol was up against 149 beers in that category, and the judges do not award medals if they believe that that none of the submission were worthy of that medal. Dawn Patrol Imperial Breakfast Stout is our seasonal stout that is aged for 4 weeks on cofee, raisins, ancho peppers, serano peppers, cumin, nutmeg, allspice, and cincamon to achive a background flavor profile similar to a Mexican mole sauce.

Inshore Slam IPA is aggressively hopped and clocks in at 75IBUs. The hop aromas and flavors are a balance of melon, citrus, spicy, and funky hop notes that come from a blend of four hops we use. This balance provides intense Hop Flavor without an overpowering bite, even at 75IBUs

A collaboration brew between Coastal Empire and Burnt Hickory Breweries out of GA. General Sherman's infamous inferno from Atlanta to Savannah in 1864 was not one of our great state's finest moments. Looking to resurrect, recreate, and redefine this march our two breweries have come up with a tactical liquid to finally put out Tecumseh's Fire. Huzzah.

We aged our Imperial Chocolate Stout in red wine barrels for six months. It pours with a frothy brown head and has a decadent dark chocolate aroma. The smooth bitter sweet backbone is complimented by hints of coffee, raspberries, dark fruit, and molasses
American Pale Ale5.8% ABV40 IBU

Coastal Empire Pale Ale pours a clear amber color. It has big citrus aroma with a hint of herbal and spice notes. This is followed up with a big citrus hop flavor with undertones of earthy and spicy hops. The malt balances well with a slight caramel taste that is not present enough to detract from the bitterness. Pale ales should be paired with hearty food pairings such as grilled meats and sharp cheeses that can stand up to the hoppiness of the beer. Spicy foods such as salsas and curries also make an excellent pairing as the hop bite will accentuate the spiciness and heat of the dishes. And being on the coast, we also suggest trying it with any type of seafood. 5.8% ABV, 10.7 SRM, 40 IBU

Savannah Brown Ale is an American brown ale crafted with a rich malt flavor, balanced by a crisp hop finish. It has aromas of roasted nuts, chocolate, and citrus. The flavors start with a blend of chocolate, caramel, and roasted nuts and follow with a balance of resinous and citrusy hops. The beer pairs well with hearty dishes. Steaks, hamburgers, and sausage are all good choices, and the hoppiness of the beer makes it particularly well suited to be served alongside game dishes. The beer also stands up to strong cheeses such as sharp cheddar, gorgonzola, blue, and (our favorite) asiago. 6.2% ABV, 18.9 SRM, 55 IBU

Our Praline Amber Ale is brewed with a generous addition of Georgia Pecans and Tahitian vanilla. We also add lactose to accentuate the natural caramel flavors from the malt. These additions combine to produce a flavor reminiscent of a traditional Southern candy, the praline

Tybee Island Blonde is a Kölsch style ale. It is a clean, crisp, session beer brewed with noble hops. The Blonde has a light floral aroma and a mild hop bitterness. The agreeable nature of this German style ale means that it will get along well with many foods, but you have to pick a dish that won’t overwhelm it. Being that we are on the coast, we suggest you start by pairing it with some seafood!
