Little Bichos
The project started as an idea in 2015 between two good, like minded friends, one a brewer and the other a beer sommelier in the highlands of Northern Spain.
Bicho means bug/creature/sneaky/cheeky which Alberto’s wife would call the two friends when they got together.
Little Bichos is the brand of the new line of beers by Mateo & Bernabé & Friends, the first craft brewery in La Rioja. A new concept totally different from the above, with more relaxed and striking design, which becomes the most innovative and experimental branch of the company.
Loving unpasteurised, bottle conditioned beers full of flavour and bugs (yeast), the aim is to make delicious, drinkable beers full of flavour and taking beers to new corners of flavours by adding foreign ingredients or ageing the beers at times.
