Mata Beer brought their A-game to the inaugural Auckalnd GABS, including a brand new beer, very fitting for Auckland: Jaffa Junkie Porter. Head brewer Tammy spent many hours hand peeling the zest of hundreds of oranges, and added them to a rich 5.5% porter. Coconut and cacao nibs accentuate the chocolate notes of the porter, while the orange zest comes through in a BIG way on the aroma. It does exactly what is says on the tin, and it's great.
Mata Manuka Ale

Mata Manuka is a smooth, clean tasting golden coloured ale edged with a hint of NZ’s native Manuka honey. The addition of aromatic Manuka honey prior to fermentation gives this beer its distinctive herbal notes, a very smooth well rounded mouth-feel and a slight residual sweetness.
