Old Peter’s is a California Common, a type of beer invented and made popular right here in Northern California. This early spring seasonal pays homage to one of Silicon Valley’s first beers, which was a California Common: Old Joe’s from Eagle Brewery. Eagle Brewery was in operation at the corner of San Carlos and Market in San Jose from 1853 until 1919, not far from where the Tied House San Jose location was nearly 100 years later.
