1000 Watt Prophets blends the honesty of Americana, the heart of Soul music, the punch of Blues and R&B, and the energy of Roots Rock into a sound that is simultaneously unique yet familiar. Built off of the longtime duo of Zak Bunce (vocals/guitar/harmonica) and Denny Richards (bass/vocals), and featuring Mike Youker on guitar/vocals and Dennis Rathnaw on drums, the band merges all of these styles into a sound that has been described as "New Retro," a blend of classic and more modern genres.
