1st Annual Lundi Gras Chili Cook Off
February 27, 2017 1:00PM - 3:00PM at The Courtyard Brewery
Calling all undercover chefs and critics! Get your pots and spoons ready because we decided New Orleans just didn't have enough food festivals, so we're adding one more.
We are so lucky to kick off the 1st Annual New Orleans Lundi Gras Chili Cook Off with our amazing friends at The Courtyard Brewery.
Come out and join us on February 27, 2017 (Lundi Gras) from 1pm to 3pm for some spectacular brews and a few bowls of homemade chili.
Critics: We'll be selling 4oz sampling tickets individually, or as a bundle.
Cooks: The buy in its simple, $25 per entry in advance, and $40 per entry day of the event. Chili must be ready by 2pm, and judging begins at 3pm. Enter as many chilis as you like, but there's two rules:
1. Your chili must be homemade
2. You must bring at least 64oz
There will be three winners for the day:
* Best in Show - Pretty trophy and bragging rights
* Most Creative - Smaller trophy and a sense of accomplishment.
* Worst Ever - Ugly trophy and a nasty hang over
That's right, if you can't take the heat, get out the kitchen. We'll celebrate one person's culinary success, and comedically persuade one person to put down the ladle and pick up the classifieds because cooking just ain't their thing!
All sample ticket sales and entry fees will go to our amazing friends at The Ozanam Inn. This great local charity not only helps feed and clothe the ever growning New Orleans homeless population, but they have programs that help return back to greatness as well..
