2017 Del Mar BBQ State Championship

When: Sunday, August 20 @ 1:00pm VIP Ticket Holders get in at 12pm**
Where: The BBQ Championship is held in the Seaside Concert area west of the Grandstand.

This competition sanctioned by the The Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS).

There is no extra charge to enter the BBQ event area. A race ticket gets you access. Open to all ages.

ABOUT THE EVENT
More than 40 of the nation’s top professional BBQ Pitmasters, local restaurants and chefs will be competing in this State Championship for more than $15,000 in cash prizes.

Purchase four 2oz. competition-ready samples of brisket, pork, pork ribs, chicken, steak and/or dessert for $10, which includes a Peoples’ Choice ballot to vote for your favorite contestant.

Top local BBQ restaurants include Cali Comfort BBQ, Valley Farm Market, Grand Ole BBQ y Asado, Coop's West Texas BBQ, Brazen BBQ, and The Smok'd Hog.
