Bass + Drums - Guitar = MR RUSSIA is a combination of relentless rhythm, solid bass lines, and cantankerous vocals which one could describe as the bastard offspring of grunge punk and industrial. They are a double barreled shot of bass and drums fury. Full of hooks and melodies commonly associated only with "guitar rock", MR RUSSIA shows off just how much can be done with a tight rhythm section. The Chicago two-piece welcomes easy comparisons to Shellac, Death from Above 1979, and Royal Blood, while drawing influences from harder-to-pinpoint sources such as PJ Harvey and Swans.
