One night, two films with director Adam Rifkin, live!
First, DETROIT ROCK CITY is the odyssey of four high school bandmates who are willing to do whatever it takes to see the band who inspired them to pick up instruments in the first place. Along the way they violate all realms of decency and morality (T2’s Edward Furlong does a strip tease "Strutter") to bask in the alter of their rock gods.
Followed by, THE DARK BACKWARD starring Judd Nelson as Marty, a garbage man who has been trying out his stand up comedy, mousily addressing an indifferent audience, drenched in sweat. Things take a turn when he suddenly grows a fully working arm out of his back, catching the eye of a sleazy talent agent.
Both films will be presented in 35mm and each will be followed by a Q&A with Adam Rifkin!
