Barkerpalooza was started between two friends who are huge music fans. A concept of a birthday party including some of their favorite local music has spawned an annual event. Prior Barkerpalooza events have included top Houston bands as well as regional and national touring acts and this year is no different.

It has been said If the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Maroon5 had a baby, it would be Hotmagandhi. Since the DNA tests proved inconclusive, this could only be based on the soulful vocals, skillful and aggressive guitar leads, danceable riffs and melodies, and a splash of playful yet funky bass lines. Coining their "Aggressive Spank Pop" sound, this Houston based band serves up the best elements of Rock, Pop, Blues, and Funk... And they serve it up HOT!
