Black Friday OBH Gold Cup Variant Release

November 24, 2017 11:00PM - 2:00AM at Tap It Local - Chesapeake

That's right its that time of the year again!
The Gold Cup Series:
Gold Cup
Russian Imperial Stout
Tasting Notes:
Named for the golden chalice bestowed on the winner of the Virginia Gold Cup races—an antique cup first granted to horse and rider by Catherine the Great—our Russian Imperial Stout with its black, velvety, opulence is as rich and complex as the Czarina who was a fan of the dark brew. A dark-berry sweetness underlies roasted tones of bittersweet chocolate and espresso coating the mouth with a smooth, lingering, fullness worthy of the cup!

Variants:
Coconut Gold Cup
Stout
Tasting Notes:
Just on the nose alone, there’s no missing Coconut Gold Cup! Aged on both toasted and cream of coconut this variant has the unmistakable sweet aroma of a freshly opened fruit from this tropical tree. A flavor of shredded coconut follows, perfectly balancing our deep and rich brew. One sip will take your taste buds on a ride—close your eyes, and you just might think you’re biting into a classic Mounds Bar.

Horchata Gold Cup
Russian Imperial Stout
Tasting Notes:
Inspired by the flavor of Horchata Lattes, Horchata Gold Cup takes the contrasting flavors of smooth vanilla, spicy cinnamon, and our bold Russian Imperial Stout to create one unbelievable beer! Hand-split fresh vanilla beans impart the characteristic aroma of vanilla, while lending a distinct graham cracker taste that intermingles with Gold Cup’s characteristic flavors of espresso and dark chocolate. Whole cinnamon sticks throw a spicy twist into the mix, that your nose and tastebuds couldn’t miss, even if you tried!

Chili Chocolate Gold Cup
Spiced Stout
Tasting Notes:
Brewed first in the Fall of 2014, Chili Chocolate Gold Cup was our original Gold Cup variant. Designed to bring some extra heat as temperatures drop, Chili Chocolate Gold Cup is aged on chipotle peppers and cacao nibs. Layers of dark chocolate intermingle with heat and smoke from the peppers, giving our Russian Imperial Stout a touch of ancient Aztec, and making it a drink worthy of the gods!
