BOOM:
The BOOM festival takes place in the heart of Charlotte’s Plaza Midwood neighborhood. Venue performances are within a short walk of each other at Petra’s, Snug Harbor and Rabbit Hole. Tickets cost $10 and may be purchased online, at the Intersection or at the door. Our outdoor stage, called the Intersection, is located across the street from the venues and offers free performances and activities all three days. Saturday only, we’re offering free performances at the International House and the Light Factory, located a few blocks from the venues and Intersection stage.

Sinergismo’s “Choosing Ceremony” takes place every 23rd waxing crescent moon. Be the first to witness the historical Gismo re-enactors as they recreate this mysterious and sacred female ritual. Bear witness as the Gismo women display their wits and talents for their chieftain. Who will be chosen? What will be chosen?
