We need to raise money for medical bills and cost of living for Rachelle during recovery. Also, Larry will need 24 hour care for 1 month during which time we will have no income. We only have about a month to raise these funds. So please find it in your heart to help. Anything beyond our means will go to a Kidney Foundation that will help dialysis and transplant patients with their medical bills.

I am not sure what down time Rachelle will have or financial situation she will be faced with after surgery as she owns and operates her own business. But as she has said, "Saving lives is priceless! I prayed about this for weeks. I talked to my immediate friends and family for weeks before even starting the evaluation at Houston Methodist Transplant Center. I chose to donate my kidney because I want to help MY FRIEND. He's a father and husband. A friend. And I want for him to see his kids grow up. I made this decision souly based on God's will for my life and his."

Larry was diagnosed in June 2011 with stage 4 kidney disease. His kidneys have slowly decreased function over the past 5 years. 2015 he was approved for kidney transplant surgery and put on a 5 year waiting list. He started dialysis March 2016; meaning, every night he has to connect to a machine for 9.5 hours. Rachelle has stepped up to be a living donor to help improve his quality of life and we are extremely grateful for such a selfless act.

GRAND CHAMPION – “Judges Choice” Chili Award – $100 cash prize and trophy awarded to the top team with the best overall Chili according to the judges.
HOTTEST CHILI – Trophy awarded to the team that has the hottest, spiciest chili as selected by the judges.
PEOPLE’S CHOICE – $50 Cash prize & trophy awarded to the top team as judged by the public voting.
BEST BOOTH AWARD – Trophy awarded to the top team with best theme, booth design, costumes, and decorations according to the judges.
