Focusing mostly on solo/duo acts crossing musical boundaries or taking musical chances, CUSP will exist as a platform to showcase a rotating and expanding cast of artists while encouraging creative growth, experimentation and collaboration.

Ghost Trees:
Ghost Trees are Seth Nanaa (drums) and Brent Bagwell (tenor saxophone). Nanaa (ex-Indian Summer) and Bagwell (Great Architect) met in NYC in 2000. Along with bassist Jordon Schranz, they formed The Eastern Seaboard. That trio toured the US relentlessly, releasing two records with legendary Italian label Black Saint and a fistful of vinyl and CDs from Tigerasylum Records. After playing together for a decade, the duo have released their debut 10" on the Future Recordings label.

Em Young:
Raised in a small town in New Hampshire, the beauty of all that nature—her second true love to music—surged and empowered Em's creativity, allowing her to generate music with a strong sense of self and marvel. Em studied songwriting at Berklee College of Music where her sound had been described as, “Powerful alternative folk”. She is currently living in Charlotte, NC

Death For Hours:

Koosh:
Koosh plays his Casiotones using a variety of rhythms and melodies. Based in Charlotte, NC.

Brother Aten:
Chris McWayne, also known as artist Brother Aten is a lyricist and electronic producer currently based out of Charlotte, North Carolina. Brother Aten’s style is a blend of otherworldly sounds capes and subtly complex rhythms in direct correspondence to the creative space that serves as inspiration for each concept. The name Brother Aten is a dedication to the memory of a fictitious character and the music is reflective of the world in which that character lived.
