Singer/Songwriter/guitarist David Randall draws upon a wide range of influences to craft an act that runs the gamut from irreverent satire to soulful introspection. Growing up listening to folk and rock, Randall later became enamored with jazz and the tin pan alley songbook, and is just as likely to cover "All the Things You Are" as "Heard It through the Grapevine." In his own songs, he likes to mine the ironies of modern life, be they on the dark side ("Waiting for the Axe to Fall," "Temple of Lies"), the light ("Sneaky," "Good News Bad News"), or somewhere in between ("Drinkin' Wine in the Carpool Line," "When Are We Gonna Kiss"), employing folk-style picking, rock/blues/country chops, and reggae/ska grooves to get the point across.
