Embracer with Pull The Ripcord, Oh Great Sea and Victoria Parizo at Planet Sarbez!

January 29, 2017 7:00PM - 11:00PM at Planet! Sarbez!

The indie/alternative band Embracer is on tour this winter and we are happy to have them coming to Sarbez in St. Augustine!

Coming from Charleston, WV, Embracer is a 5 piece muslcal onslaught. Bringing together a collective of dark, brooding, and ambient works this band has formed it's own sound in the cacophony of noise out there today. In their art they have a hope, "We want you to feel our music, rather than just listen to it." Feel it we shall.

St. Augustine locals Pull the Ripcord are an enigma of today's music as their existence is a time trip back to the late 80's and 90's of true hip hop and rock fusion. Calling themselves a band of "Barbaric Freestyle Music" this group will have you banging your head one moment and groovin' your hips the next. Many will say they are like Rage Against the Machine, but really it is more like old school Red Hot Chili Peppers. Above all else though PTR is it's own living entity of music.

Oh Great Sea is more a group of souls performing together than it is a group of humans. This "band" at it's core is a musical "collective" started by Alex and Lizzy Hobbs, pouring out the sounds of souls filled with hope. With a folk rock sound that could be in the waves of the ocean and at same time in the mountain breeze the sounds of this band get inside of you and turn your heart on.

Victoria Parizo is a new face to the local music scene as has moved to the oldest city within the last 6 months. Talented unique voice and honesty make her stand out as a singer songwriter. Do not let her age fool you, she is wise beyond her years.
