Fasnachts For Days

Every night starting at 5pm from Karneval (February 8th) until "Fat Tuesday" or Shroves Tuesday (February 13th) we will offer 1/2 dozen Fasnachts for $8.

History Lesson:
Both a German and Pennsylvania Dutch tradition, families indulge in Fasnachts/Fastnachts on Shrove Tuesday before Ash Wednesday and the start of the Lent season. The fatty homemade doughnuts, coated in sugar, were traditionally made by housewives on Fat Tuesday, making the doughnuts was a way to use up all of the fat such as lard in the house before fasting. Fasnacht is a German word meaning "night before the fast."
