Tonight, witness some of the most amazing talent to find it's way to Putnam. The Ed Tomassi Group brings classic bop jazz to the Stomping Ground stage in a way that you find nowhere else in the Northeast. Playing originals, as well as works by John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Larry Young and more, these gentlemen perform and improvise Modern Jazz the way it was meant to be played. Ed Tomassi has been an instructor of improvisation at the Berklee School of Music for over 38 years, and has taught many amazing students, including the likes of Branford Marsalis and Donald Harrison. We've had folks tell us that watching the Ed Tomassi Group perform at The Stomping Ground makes them feel like they are sitting in the legendary Blue Note jazz club in NYC.
