Intro To Scotch | Continuing Our Education Series

As we continue our education series, Fox Cigar Gilbert will be hosting an “Intro To Scotch” seminar on Wednesday, September 27th (6:00 PM – 10:00 PM). Alastair Menzies, the Master of Whisky, will be hosting this interactive event. There are 50 seats available, and this is a night you will not want to miss!

To start the evening you will receive a welcome drink of Johnnie Walker Double Black. This drink is ONLY included if you pre-purchase online. If you purchase at the door, you will miss out on this tasty welcome treat.

You will also get a Leaf by Oscar cigar to pair with the flight that is presented this evening. There will be a choice of wrapper selection and this is included in the pre-purchase price.

Once everyone is settled, we will start the interactive tasting of the following fine whiskeys:

- Singleton Glendullan 15
- Singleton Glendullan 18
- Talisker 10
- Lagavulin 16
- Oban 14

After this educational seminar, you will have tasted five marquees and walk away with a better understanding of Scotch. We will have the bottles available for purchase and Mr. Menzies will make himself available for signing.

So, Who is Alastair Menzies? A self-proclaimed storyteller, he is a proud Scotsman from Gasglow. He is dubbed the Master of Whisky and has been awarded a Credit Pass in the General Certificate in Distilling from the Institute of Brewing & Distilling in London. Long story short, he is a pretty big deal.

Seating will be in the Ashton’s Members Only Lounge and is limited to 50 guests. So we highly recommend you purchase your spot for this unique evening beforehand. If you pre-purchase, you get the Johnnie Walker Double Black welcome drink. Tickets will be available at the door.
