IPA Welcomes Pariah Brewing Co. to the Neighborhood!

March 02, 2017 11:30AM - 10:00PM at Iron Pig Alehouse

IPA has the esteemed pleasure of being the very first bar in Pacific Beach to host the Pariah Brewing Company!

ALL DAY THURSDAY we'll be serving up some fresh and delicious beers from Pariah Brewing Co!

Featured brews include:

Dank Drank IPA: 6.6% ABV, 66 IBU
Hop-Bursted West Coast style IPA (Mosaic and Amarillo)
For this beer we wanted to focus on ridiculous flavor and aroma but keep the bitterness in check. To achieve this we employed a technique called “hop-bursting.” Sounds pretty cool, right? We agree. The nose of this beer offers massive aromas of mango, citrus, peach, pine, berries & dankness and all while -you guessed it- not being punishingly bitter! Probably your favorite beer’s favorite beer. Excellent paired with stinky cheeses or crispy Baja-style fish tacos.

Off-White Wit: 5.4% ABV, 15 IBU
Belgian -Style witbier Brewed with Honey, Jasmine Green Tea, Lemongrass, Orange Slices And Ginger
Inspired by Boba Tea, This Belgian-style Witbier is brewed w/ Orange blossom Honey, fragrant Jasmine green tea, fresh Lemongrass, sweet Orange peel & fresh Ginger. Hugely drinkable and thirst quenching with a gorgeous naturally cloudy appearance, bready malts and restrained hop bitterness. Excellent with a Banh Mi or Pho!

Uni Stout: 5.4% ABV, 20 IBU
Seasonal Winter brew with San Diego sea Urchin Roe, Lactose, And sea salt
While we love the delicious, briny quality of oyster stouts, we wanted to put a “unique to San Diego” stamp on the style. After a quick sushi dinner, we had the realization that San Diego is the largest harvester and exporter of uni roe in the world so we decided to use it. To take it one step further we add sea salt to amplify the oceanic deliciousness. Lactose lends its characteristic creaminess and hops subtly balances it all out amongst the chorus of caramel and roasted malts.
Made with real uni, which is an allergen: if you are allergic to shellfish or seafood, please don't drink me.

Come in from 6 to 7PM to meet the man behind the brew Brian Mitchell!
